Erin Galvez
Erin Galvez received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from California State University Sacramento with an emphasis in printmaking. She followed that with an internship and the inaugural AmeriCorps Handmade Papermaking position at Women’s Studio Workshop in New York. She has worked as a professional freelance mixed-media artist since 2004. Her work is in collection at California State University, Sacramento, the City of El Paso, and, is in national and international private and corporate collections. She was a 2015 recipient of the Artist Incubator Grant through the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department of El Paso, Texas, a 2017 recipient of Pollock-Krasner Foundation AIR Fellowship Grant for summer residency at Woodstock, Byrdcliffe Guild, NY, and a 2018 grant recipient of the Maryann Evan Scholarship for Graduate Studies in Studio Art. Galvez graduated from UNM Albuquerque with an MFA in Studio Art; Painting and Drawing in 2019 and now resides in Zuni, New Mexico continuing her studio practice.
